Sunsetting StashPay

Friends, I know I’ve been quiet for a while. I wanted to give an update on StashPay.

I loved the creative process of building StashPay, especially getting a chance to work with my friend Lee Gordon again. But due to lack of traction I will be shutting down the app on August 31st 2026. StashPay users can import their seed phrase into the Blockstream App to continue to use their Liquid wallet.

When I started the project the wallet SDK landscape was also in a different place. Building a native app for multiple platforms was costly. Today the Cashu and Ark wallets that can be built with AI offer native UX and the custody protocols are more open. I will personally be using both for my spending sats.

Thank you to everyone who supported me on this journey. I don’t know yet what’s next but sometimes you have to let go of things that don’t serve you anymore to make space for the new. And I’m excited for the space that this step creates.
